“For years I have craved sugary foods, but didn’t know why. When I saw the local community center was offering a program on Stressed Out Bodies; Cravings, What Are These About I was intrigued to learn more. For example, the Thyroid gland produces hormones that help maintain weight, proper temperature of the body and heart rate. The Adrenal glands produce hormones that help the body control blood sugar, burn protein and fat, react to stressors like a major illness or injury, and regulate blood pressure.
